Description:
SC211 is a simple robust intercom / talk-back station. It is mostly used in engine room and on deck. It comes as a basic body, and the installer must choose either a headset or a horn speaker for the station to be used.
When used with a headset, it implements communication in noisy areas as engine room, truster room or generator room. For such areas, it also has a build in relay for driving a flash / horn used to indicate when a call comes in. With a headset full duplex communication is obtained.
When used with a horn speaker, the station is operating in semi-duplex. It is required that the user press a key on the front when speaking into the horn - PTT mode - or the SC211 can be used as classical talk-back, where the call is entirely controlled from a master SC411 on the bridge. From bridge You can call the SC211 and speak out, and when the PTT button is released, listen back from out there.
The manual covers the full SeaCom Maritime Communication System, so You have to jump to chapter 11 to find informations covering SC211
This station replaces Our older station SC210 with respect to features and functions, but the mechanical dimension and the material of the housing are different.
